About St. Catherine’s Childcare Service
St. Catherine’s Childcare Service is a Community Childcare Service. We have provided high quality, child centred childcare and early years education in Carlow since. We are committed to providing a service that focuses on the individual needs of the child and providing a warm and welcoming environment for children and their parents and carers.
St. Catherine’s Childcare service is an Early Childhood Ireland Centre of Excellence childcare facility.
Our staff are our biggest asset and we promote and encourage their professional development and on-going training. All our childcare staff are fully experienced and qualified to a minimum of QQI Level 5. The majority of our staff are qualified at levels 6 and 7 while we also have staff qualified with a Level 8 in Early Childhood Education and Care. Our Childcare Manager, Judith Byrne has over 15 years experience in Childcare. Both Judith and our Assistant Manager, Pauline Byrne have the Level 8 Early Childhood Education and Care Degree.
St. Catherine’s is fortunate in that our staff turnover is virtually zero ensuring our children get to build long term relationships with their carers. All of our Childcare team, including staff, students and volunteers are Garda Vetted prior to commencing in our service.
